  • Intelligent Transport/Automotive
Traffic sensing and signalling, driver/pilot information systems
  • Environmental monitoring/Smart cities/Asset and Infrastructure management
Distributed wireless and powerless sensors (scavenging); advanced visualisation for improved control, low cost sensor systems for wide deployment
  • Smart Grid/Power distribution
Feed (supply and load) resource sensing and monitoring; massively distributed sensing and control network for smart grid optimisation
  • Defence
Development of existing and future sensors for existing platform strategies; combination of sensor data (real time and historical) to generate 4D visualisations
  • Point of care diagnosis/Assisted living/Drug discovery
New/miniaturised surgery (desktop) equipment; improved drug delivery systems; improved drug testing capabilities (in vitro vs in vivo)
